CEE hosts Conference of Youth on climate change

Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN) hosted 12th Conference of Youth (COY) in association with The Centre for Environment Education (CEE) and Heinrich Böll Stiftung (HBF) from November 4 to 6. COY is an annual event that happens before the yearly UN Conference of Parties (COP) to bring more youth voices to the COP. The COY in Ahmedabad was among 24 global events and the only one in Asia that year. “The objective of local COY12 India is to create awareness about climate change among youth, provide youth with a platform to learn about climate change, share experiences, and create exchange dialogues,” said a CEE official. “Youth voices will be incorporated in the global COP to be held in Morocco this year.”

The events included a discussion on the technological ‘frog jump’ from a traditional sustainable lifestyle to a modern sustainable lifestyle.
