NOTICE

Date: 21st October, 2019

NOTICE is hereby given that Annual General Body Meeting of the members of the Society will be held on the 26th October, 2019, at 11 AM, at a physical location in South Delhi and through Video Conferencing (Join via: )to transact the following business:

A.        To convene the election process of the members of the Managing Committee of the Society

B.         On the basis of the election process/voting of the existing members, selection of the members of the Managing Committee and constitution of the new Managing Committee of IYCN

            RULES FOR ELECTION PROCESS

(i) Existing members, who are interested in becoming a member of the Managing Committee shall send their respective nominations, through the Google Form:

(ii) Posts in the managing committee:

(a)    President

(b)   Secretary

(c)    Treasurer

(iii)             Each member can send their nomination(s) for maximum two posts.

(iv)             Further, they may also send their nomination for becoming a member of the managing committee.

(v)               Qualification Criteria and indicated roles for each Post has been mentioned in Annexure A:

 You are requested to send your applications/nominations through both this Google Form  (https://forms.gle/BmmXgRPSEmLnDP1WA ) and through e-mail  to iycn-ner@iycn.in . Please refer to Google form for detailed information requirement. Application should also contain copy of the Profile (CV/Resume) and the supporting documents justifying/qualifying the above mentioned qualification criteria.

 Timelines for the above mentioned process will be as follows:

Members should be personally present. However, members can also vote through video conferencing.

Annexure A

Roles and Desired profiles

President

 Role

1)      steer the board and network as per commonly agreed plan ensuring implementation of activities

2)      ensure regular meetings/calls of the board with minimum required quorum

3)      oversee the annual general meeting with members of the society, present financial statement and key decisions by the society

4)      perform administrative functions with the accountant and lawyer for accounts and compliance

5)      recruit personnel to carry out committed activities including Operations Management team

6)      ensure sufficient funds along with Secretary and Treasurer

7)      Respond to emergency/disciplinary situations and inform the membership as needed

8)      Expected time requirement: 15-20 hours per week (distributed requirement – skype call, review of proposals, board decisions, fund-raising, etc)

Desired Profile

1)      Previous or current experience of leading an organisation, project, or initiative with a team of mixed background, age, and skills

2)      Experience of independently handling donor-funded programmes/projects related to environment/climate change

3)      Experience of raising funds from various sources

4)      Overall professional experience of 5 years, preferably working with youth and NGOs for at least 2 years

5)      Location: Delhi NCR

Secretary

Role

1)      ensure documentation of minutes as well as resolutions

2)      Participate in all board meetings regularly with exception of skipping 1 meeting in a month after advance notice

3)      perform administrative functions with the accountant and lawyer for accounts and compliance

4)      recruit personnel to carry out committed activities including Operations Management team providing oversight to their functioning on a daily basis

5)      ensure sufficient funds along with President and Treasurer

6)      Expected time requirement: 15-20 hours per week (distributed requirement – skype call, review of proposals, board decisions, fund-raising, etc)

Desired Profile

1)      Previous or current experience of leading an organisation, project, or initiative with a team of mixed background, age, and skills

2)      Experience of independently handling donor-funded programmes/projects related to environment/climate change

3)      Experience of taking project management decisions

4)      Experience of raising funds from various sources

5)      Overall professional experience of 3 years, preferably working with NGOs and youth for at least 1-2 years

6)      Location: Flexible

Treasurer

Role

1)      Manage finances of the society and prepare annual budgets

2)      Participate in all board meetings regularly with exception of skipping 1 meeting in a month after advance notice

3)      perform administrative functions with the accountant and lawyer for accounts and compliance

4)      recruit personnel to carry out committed activities including Operations Management team providing oversight to their financial decisions

5)      ensure sufficient funds along with President and Secretary

6)      Ensure financial implementation and compliance as per project and/or donor requirements

7)      Expected time requirement: 15-20 hours per week (distributed requirement – skype call, review of proposals, board decisions, fund-raising, etc)

Desired Profile

1)      Previous or current experience of managing finances of an organisation, project, or initiative

2)      Experience of independently handling donor-funded programmes/projects related to environment/climate change

3)      Experience of raising funds from various sources

4)      Experience of taking financial, budgeting and costing decisions

5)      Overall professional experience of 3 years, preferably working with NGOs for at least 1-2 years

6)      Location: Delhi NCR

Member

Role

1)      Advise and support Management finances of the society and prepare annual budgets

2)      provide advisory support to the Executive

3)      help recruit personnel to carry out committed activities including Operations Management team and support in their functioning

4)      ensure sufficient funds along with President, Secretary and Treasurer

5)      Participate in all board meetings regularly with exception of skipping 1 meeting in a month after advance notice

6)      Expected time requirement: 4-6 hours per week (distributed requirement – skype call, review of proposals, board decisions, fund-raising, etc)

Desired Profile

1)      Experience of team work and leading teams of an organisation, project or initiative

2)      Experience of independently handling donor-funded programmes/projects related to environment/climate change

3)      Location: Flexible
